From 1982 to 1989 he was studying at the Art school in Kaunas, from 1989 to 1995 he continued his studies at the Academy of Arts in Vilnius, Lithuania, Painting department, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. He is a participant of many art projects and exhibitions around the world. Nowadays, he lives and works in Kaunas.


From 1995 to 2006 Arturas Savickas worked in Lithuanian artists Association as exhibitions manager. From 2006 he is owner of "Art Projects" company. In 2000 he became a member of Lithuanian Artists Association.
In 1995 he was a participant of the workshop at the Art Academy of Kristianstadt, Sweden. In 1999 he got stipendium in "Künstlerhaus Lukas" Ahrenshoop, Germany, where he was painting some month and at the end of the project he had there a very successful solo exhibition. In 2001 Arturas Savickas gained the stipendium of the Nordic Institute of Contemporary Art (NIFCA), Trondheim, Norway.
From 1993 till today he is the participant of many group and solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Sweden, Finland, Russia, Germany, Italy, Norway, Japan, Poland, Georgia...). In 2024 he was presented at the art fair “Art Vilnius” by the Belgian-Georgian gallery ERISTAVI. Arturas Savickas is a participant of the Ria Keburia International Art Residency 2024 and exhibition in Kachreti, Georgia and the same program in Cannes, France 2025.
